The Arts Industry Council is a small not-for-profit organisation established to promote and represent arts industry matters to government, the private sector and the wider community. AIC receives no government funding and derives its support from the industry through member subcriptions, fundraising and in-kind assistance.
Arts Law gives preliminary advice and information to artists and arts organisations across all artforms on a wide range of arts related legal and business matters including contracts, copyright, business names and structures, defamation, insurance and employment. Arts Law also offers services tailored specifically for Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islanders.
Arts NSW is the NSW Government’s arts policy and funding body. We share a commitment to building stronger communities through the arts. We support NSW to be a vibrant, dynamic and creative place which values artists and our cultural heritage and enriches communities. We work to ensure that artists flourish and NSW’s economy is strengthened by the capacity of our creative industries to generate wealth and create jobs.
Arts NT's primary function is to support and develop the artistic and cultural potential of the Territory through policy, operational and financial suppport and advice to the arts sector and to government. Arts NT aims to ensure that all Territory residents have access to a variety of arts & cultural activities. Arts NT's programs and services, facilitate a diverse range of arts and cultural activities across the Territory through:
- support to key arts organisations
- physical infrastructure for arts and cultural activity
- regional arts development
Arts Projects Australia is an independent producer and event management company based in Adelaide. Since its establishment in 1997, APA has worked collaboratively with a range of festivals, producers and cultural organisations on a diverse range of performing arts projects and tours. Major projects include WOMADelaide, Womad Earth Station, the Australian Performing Arts Market, the Australian International Documentary Conference and ongoing performing arts touring.
Arts Queensland administers funding and capital works programs; develops new programs and partnerships; and sets policy direction on the Government's investment (over $190 million a year) in arts and culture. Its vision for a Creative Queensland recognises that cultural expansion is a key component of the Smart State through its contribution to the social and economic wellbeing of Queenslanders.
Arts Tasmania is responsible for policy, planning, strategic development and funding of the arts in Tasmania. Arts Tasmania strives for a progressive, supportive and flexible partnership with the arts industry by facilitating, advocating and enabling creativity, innovation, cultural excellence and quality arts practice in the state. Arts Tasmania provides leadership, advice and advocacy for the arts in government policy. Arts Tasmania is a division of the Department of Economic Development, Tourism and the Arts.
The Arts Theatre is a 500 seat traditional pro-arch theatre in the middle of the CBD. It is home to five residential theatre groups and is one of the busiest Fringe Festival venues. The theatre is owned by The Adelaide Repertory Theatre and is managed on contract by Messenger Management. Arts Victoria is the State Government body which advises on, and implements arts policy. We are charged with making the arts available and accessible to all Victorians and with supporting and developing Victoria's artists and creative industries. We encourage innovation and diversity and value indigenous culture, and believe the arts play a vital role in strengthening communities.
artsACT develops and implements government policies relating to the arts and provides administrative and professional support to the ACT Cultural Council, the ACT Government's principal arts advisory body. artsACT also oversees the management and development of a range of cultural facilities, administers the ACT Arts Fund and the Public Art Program.
