Alison Moulden

Growing up with a successful painter as a mother and surrounded by art from a very early age, the urge to be creative has featured prominently in my life. Working with acrylics, pastel and mixed media, I have studied art with a variety of tutors, particularly seeking out those favouring an expansive and colourful representation of their environment that fits with my own world view.

Allayne Webster

Allayne grew up in Kingston, South East and now lives in Adelaide, South Australia. She is the author of two teenage fiction novels Our Little Secret and Stresshead and one children’s novel Barnesy. Allayne is the recipient of two Arts SA grants and a Board Member of the Salisbury Writers' Festival. She writes whenever she can squeeze it in between working a ‘day job’ (to support her writing!) and motherhood. She hopes to eventually publish many, many stories.

Like relaxing and gazing at the clouds to contemplate visual comparisons, I create loose experimental art therapeutically that develops familiar qualities organically as I see them. My works are based upon nostalgic values using brush, pen, ink, water colour and gouache on paper, wood and canvas. In my art I reconnect with my inner youth, being stimulated by psychedelic colours, fantasy creatures, detailed patterns and horror imagery.
