Alison creates dance works and uses varied methods of engagement to create performance experiences that captivate audiences from varying backgrounds and levels of experience with the arts. Alison is influenced by performance art and visual art practices often working sculptural forms into her practice and performances. Her recent major works include: Build, Hold, Destroy commissioned for Window World at the Adelaide Fringe 2013, Solo Performance Space Sydney 2011, Three ways to hold co-created with Bridget Currie at the South Australian School of Art Gallery 2010, National tour of 42a 2010, THE MAIN EVENT co-directed with Sol Ulbrich AC Arts 2009, Bedroom Dancing (choreographer) with director Steve Mayhew and Restless Dance Theatre Come Out 09 - recipient Outstanding Achievement in Youth and Community Dance 2010 Australian Dance Awards. Alison was the major collaborator on Kel Mocilnik’s In the pursuit of repetition (fame and squalor) at Next Wave Festival Melbourne 2012.
