Out of Round Presentation funding supports South Australian artists to respond to invitations and opportunities for career-defining performances that arise at short notice.
Funding is available for economy travel, freight and accommodation. You can apply for up to $5000 towards the costs associated with the project. Funding requests cannot exceed 50% of the total project budget.
You must discuss your funding needs with the relevant Arts South Australia project officer before preparing an application as unsolicited applications will not be accepted.
Out of Round applications are currently CLOSED until 1 July 2018.

Only career-defining opportunities that do not fit within the timelines of other Contemporary Music grant categories will be considered for Out of Round Presentation funding.

Applications for Out of Round Presentation will be assessed out of usual funding rounds by the Contemporary Music peer assessment panel according to the following criteria:
- The opportunity that this 'career-defining' project presents to the applicant
- Good planning and effective use of resources.
It is assumed that the artistic merit and quality of the applicant has already been determined as a result of the career-defining opportunity presenting itself.
Applications to this category are made via email to the Arts South Australia project officer for Contemporary Music.
All applications to this category must be discussed with the relevant Arts South Australia project officer prior to submission. Unsolicited applications will not be accepted.
Eligible activities could include invitations for showcase performances at national and international trade fairs, such as Bigsound, AWME, and other major international festivals and extraordinary opportunities that have a significant impact on career development.
